The word Reiki is a combination of two Japanese words - Rei which means "God's Wisdom or the Higher Power" and Ki which is ‘life force energy’. ‘Universal life force energy’ is flowing within each of us and gives us life.

Entering Our Body/Mind Consciousness Through Trance Dance
As far back at 40,000 years we can find evidence that in many various indigenous cultures that 'dance' was used as a form of worship or used for healing. One could find a medicine man/women or shaman dancing for the people; maybe to heal someone or to learn where to find the next buffalo herd. He/she would 'dance' as one of the ways to connect spirit.

Sounding for Health
The ancient mystery schools of Egypt, Greece, India, and other centers of knowledge all taught 'sound and music for healing' as a highly developed sacred science. Sonic vibration was known to be the fundamental creative force in the universe.
