A Sign of the Times? Is That the Divine Feminine Residing on Top of Our Nations’ Capital

During the inaugural ceremony on Monday January 21st I was introduced to the Statue of Freedom or she can simply be called FREEDOM who resides upon our nation’s capital. She caught my eye and drew me in. I have not been able to get her out of my mind or my heart since then. I felt on an intuitive level that there was greater significance and some type hidden message being delivered to US at this time. She was boldly being given air time and proudly acknowledged. I thought to myself that it was totally appropriate considering that the Divine Feminine Energy is said to totally be enveloping the world now. She had arrived, we were well on our way to balance, peace, love and it was 2013 after all!

In my research I did discover what her creator Thomas Crawford and others intended as the significance her helmet, eagle, sword, shield, stars, and her pedestal which are all very representative of that particular time in history. And of course very different than how I see them. I will say that she did go through 3 metamorphoses before her final and last cast was created.  She did almost get lost at sea and experienced a long delay before taking her rightful place on top of the Capitals’ Rotunda. She took her place on December 2, 1863 in the midst of the Civil War.

Following my intuition, my inner promptings of guidance and for my own pleasure I would love to share with you ‘my interpretations’ of what the significance of her wardrobe and accessories might mean to US during this time of expanding consciousness, evolution, and return of the Divine Feminine. Picture below.

Helmet Adorned with an Eagle Head Crowned with an Umbrella of Crested Feathers-I picture her helmet as being representative of the ego with its’ desire to keep us separate from our Divine Minds.  I smile as I say this. ‘The Eagle has landed.”  She has transcended her ‘ego’ and now has fully unfolded and wears her crown. Eagle represents the Great Spirit and the connection to the Divine. She now has the ability to live in the realm of spirit and yet remain connected and balanced within this Earth plane. Through hard work, understanding, and a completion of our tests of initiation we have taken our personal power and now stand in the state of Grace. The Eagle asks us to give ourselves permission to LEGALIZE FREEDOM and to follow the joy in our hearts.

9 Stars Around Her Helmet-According to numerology 9 is the most worldly and sophisticated of all numbers. The 9 is representative of global consciousness rising. The 9 is the least judgmental, the most tolerant of all numbers and offers sympathy and compassion to everyone.  The 9 lives in the world and understands the connections between all of mankind. It is a humanitarian, and sees no real difference between it’s neighbor next door and the person living in a very different culture and environment on the other side of the world. The 9’s ultimate goal is to serve humanity using her wisdom by fully assuming responsibility. There is a great power, protection, and a great love in her soul. Could this mean then that the time has come for us to embrace the beauty of the 9 and create our new world based on this number’s consciousness? I say ‘yes’ it’s time!

Sheathed Sword in Right Hand Facing Downward Wrapped in the Silk Cloth-From an alternative healing perspective the right side of the body is said to be considered the masculine side and historically the sword is representative of masculine energy. The sword has been raised in many a war, caused bloodshed, is intimidating and produces conflict(Unbalanced masculine energy)  Considering that the sword is pointing downward could it mean that the time of waging war is over? Could the sheath and the silk cloth represent the divine feminine encasing and wrapping herself around this unbalanced masculine energy with her soft, tender, love therefore bringing balance and equanimity to US?

She Faces East-Each day she knows she is looking upon a new day, it’s time for new beginnings, she breathes deeply of the air and connects to her soul. Her mind is clear and she is aligned with her divine mind as she sends her positive thoughts out into the world. Is she reminding us to do that daily?

Her Pedestal is the Globe-Her world is encircled with the motto ‘E Pluribus Unum’ which loosely translates into ‘Out of Many, One’ or my interpretation would be this, “In Unity Consciousness; We are All One”. Need I say more?

Holding a Laurel Wreath in Her Left Hand-The left side of the body is considered to be the feminine side of the body. And no she is not resting on her laurels (humor) but knows she is the holder of the prophecies and it’s all in her hands. Laurel has been seen as a symbol of peace and victory. It has been known to cleanse the soul, awaken awareness, and is said to stimulate psychic awareness, health and powers of divination.  Could her message be a reminder that we have achieved a victory over our lower natures and are claiming peace as our natural state of being and birthright?

13 Stripes On Her Shield on Left Side-Her shield is down as if she no longer needs to hold it up to protect herself but has ascribed to the attributes of the magical 13 and holds them near and dear.  It is twenty 13 after all!  She knows and honor the cycles of the 13 moons.  She may align with the original 13 Indigenous Grandmothers Councils, their prophecies and remembers that the Virgin Mary’s number is 13. A women’s body has 13 gates: 2 eyes, 2 ears, 2 nostrils, the mouth, 2 breasts, the navel, the anus, the urethra, and the vagina. Perhaps there is meaning in the fact that the number 13 is prime number only divisible to itself which could be symbolic of having an incorruptible nature, exhibits integrity and has a resonance of purity. A truly astounding piece of information is that the ‘soul is said to weigh 13 ounces.’ Perhaps she has found her perfect weight. The number 13 is sacred in so many ways. 13 were present at the Last Supper. There are 13 Buddha’s in the Indian Pantheon. There are 13 occurrences of the quantity 13 in the design of The Great Pyramid of Giza. The 13th letter of the English alphabet is M, which finds its roots in the 13th letter of the Hebrew alphabet, “mem” (meaning mother), which was the ancient Phoenician word for water. The ancient Egyptian word for water was “moo.” M is the most sacred of all the letters, for it symbolizes water, where all life began. It is the root of the word ‘Mother’.

Tongue-in-cheek, I say as my disclaimer, “My interpretations are not intended to change any historical meanings of FREEDOM and how we have interpreted FREEDOM in the past but I certainly can be held accountable for what FREEDOM mean to US in the present and what FREEDOM means for our future.”
