The word Reiki is a combination of two Japanese words - Rei which means "God's Wisdom or the Higher Power" and Ki which is ‘life force energy’. ‘Universal life force energy’ is flowing within each of us and gives us life.
What most people experience during a Reiki session are stress reduction, relaxation, feelings of peace, a sense of well being which then promotes healing for the whole person as it addresses the body, mind, and spirit.
Reiki is a safe, simple, natural way can be used on oneself or shared with others and works well in conjunction with other healing modalities, whether it is medical or alternative.
In all cases, the ‘laying on of hands’ is method of delivery.
Reiki is a simple technique to learn as it is passed from ‘master to student’. The Reiki Master ‘attunes’ the student by transferring ‘sacred symbols’ which open to doors to tap more fully into the universal life force. The student comes from all walks of life. Reiki is not about a specific religion, dogma, class, age, background, status quo or spiritual development. The strong desire of the student is to ‘be well’.

Reiki sessions are experienced with clothing on while resting in a chair or laying on a massage table.
Sessions are approximately one and half hour long which includes client 'state of being' review, the session itself, and finish with a sharing of experience and recommendations.
