I call myself a 'Transformational Facilitator'
-May 2014 I reclaimed my birth name and now go by Kat a name which my grandfather called me.
-Initiated and reconnected with my higher self and soul vibration, received and took my new name of Aria Joy in Feb. of 2004 through April of 2014. The journey and embodiment of that vibration is complete.
-Massage Therapy education from Aveda Institute in Minneapolis and completed the course in Feb. of 1994 and began my practice in a chiropractic office in the Dinkytown area of Minneapolis and then expanded into my own private practice in 1996. I was the top graduate in my class.
-In 1999, I received my Trance Dance Ritual Training certificate of completion from Natalie Institute in Texas. I have facilitated Trance Dance rituals for the community at large in the Minneapolis/St. Paul MN and surrounding areas, in northern and western Wisconsin, and Oklahoma for various women's groups, young leadership groups, and privately for individuals. In 2000, I traveled to Hawaii to assist with training new trance dance facilitators.
-The symbols came in a dream and I was called to be 'attuned' to Reiki in 2001. My final attunement to Reiki Master happened in October of 2002. I now carry that energy with me wherever I go and incorporate the energy into my daily life and my work with individuals, couples, or groups.
-Attended and completed, the Jonathan Goldman, Healing Sounds Intensive in 2006. While there I learned about the sonic yoga of listening, sacred geometry and sound, sonic shamanism, overtoning healing techniques, vocal harmonics, therapeutic uses of music, about shifting frequencies, vowels as a sacred language, how to build a Merkaba using her voice, the magic of color, light, sound and more.
-Ordained as an Healing Minister with Universal Ministries in April of 2006.-

-Steward of a retreat center called Aria's Garden Sanctuary for 2 years(2005 to 2007) in Northfield MN.While there I installed a unique one of a kind labyrinth called the Aria's penta-labyrinth following a design created by William Frost 2006. While there I 'The Womb' which was a 12- 16ft enclosed room that housed a 10ft round whiskey barrel hot tub with the temperature kept at 98 degrees. Perfect for what I called Shamanic Waterjourneys which are similar to watsu.
-In 1985 Margaret Bedor introduced me to the wide variety of crystals, their healing and metaphysical properties. I had always been attracted to nature's gifts and grew to love the power of stones. My journey and exploration of crystals has been ongoing and probably will never end. I love crystals and love using crystal layouts with myself and with clients.
I have had a wide range of teachers who have influenced my work and my life. They include Jonathan Goldman, Chilean Shaman Luzclara, Bryan Deflores, Golden Eagle aka Standing Elk, Wilbert Alix, Mariann Somers, and many others. I have a teacher within who his guiding me strongly now.
