The Businesses of the Internet- The Pros
One of the things I have understood about the opportunities that the internet offers for a person who is interested in a home based business or in changing their financial circumstances is that the internet is truly an EOO, equal opportunity opportunity.
Most of the internet businesses and costs of doing business are relatively insignificant compared to traditional business or other home based business models. The internet business doesn't care how you dress, who you know, how big your bank account is, what the color of your skin is, what your sexual preferences are, what your education and background is, or if you have a disability. It's just you and your computer.
When I thought about what is happening in our current economy, dwindling jobs, and other benefits like social security, state aid, social security disability funds decreasing it became evident to me that there were plenty of options for those who were open to options. For example, someone who is perhaps disabled in a wheel chair but had use of hands, eyes, hearing and normal brain function could actually have a business that could create more money than what they were getting on social security. A single mom who had 3 children at home, who was on state aid because day care costs were outrageous compared to what she could make out in the workforce could actually move herself into a position of self sufficiency. How about the person who has been unemployed for a year, can't seem to find a job, and the unemployment checks are going to stop coming?
The environmental aspects of home based business keep coming to the forefront for me as well when I considered those &*(^*>? emissions from those cars and the cost of a barrel of oil these days.
I look forward to any commentary you may have.
